June 3

HOLA MI FAMILIA!!!
Como estan? This week has gone by really fast. I can´t believe I´ve been here for a month! I still have lots to learn if I want to serve even more. There is always things we can be improving though. This week we had a ward activity for the married couples about eternal marriages. We didn´t do much for planning that but helped cooking and cleaning and during. We are planning a breakfast party thing for the ward soon too and I was thinking about doing sometime of banana split party for the ward with the articles of faith like we did in primary becuase we really need references from the memebers but we need the references to be prepared first so we are trying to help teach the members how to teach and fast and pray and do all these things before giving their names to us. Really it would be nice to have names at all but I think that that will be a good way to help them because everyone should know the articles of faith. Only problem is I don´t think they really know what a bannana split is. haha. we might have to  change the desert. crepes or something... I don´t know why i thought of that. they don´t have crepes either. Anyways We are always looking for ward activities and ideas for family home evening so please send them to me! or mom all of your object lessons in young womens would be perfect like the chocolate thing (not exactly perfect cause i don´t think they have dove but you get the idea) and also can you send me a list of just games like the one where you pick up the m&m and put it in a cup with a straw or... i don´t know games like that. That would be a great help!
So... no baptisms. Yup satan is one strong nobody. We will keep working with Alejandro & Leila as well as our other investigators. We have a lot of new ones again this week. We´re really good at finding new investigators.... haha but we´ve reevalutaed our teaching and hope our numbers and effectiveness will go up this week.
I bought rainboots today just plain black but they will be good for the swimming pools!
Also I haven´t been to the office today so I don´t know if i received anything but we´re going after this and I hope I do cause I want to hear more from ALL of you! We have been printing out our letters since we don´t have that much time so if it´s easier just to send an email that is great too.
I Seriously can´t beleive it´s summer there! SERIOUS! CRAZY for me to think about. Soak up those rays. I really wanted to bring smores for everyone on the beach the next time but the idea will not go in vain because I might use it for an indoor ward activity. don´t know where we´ll get the fire but i don´t know it´s a spark of an idea. I don´t think they know what they are... how sad.

I love you all so much! I´ll see you in a jiffy. mmmm.. jiffy muffins. dang it i don´t have an oven. Lol. maybee I could microwave it. first i´d have to find it... okay time for me to go!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

May 27

HOLA!
This has been a great week. well sort of. I´m finally getting the hang of things and we are trying to work super hard! Today- no beach because it´s raining buckets quite literally but you know you can´t be a missionary without a little rain. It´s just part of the experience. I wanted to find some rainboots today but I don´t think we have time. I´ll have to wait for next week.
I´m glad everything is well at home and that the grass is almost ready. It´s wierd to think it´s so warm there. I didn´t even know it was memorial day. That´s always a fun holiday- kind of- for us anyway. It reminds me that spring is here. well not here but you know what i mean.
it says 50 or 60 degrees. I don´t beleive it. I wear everything I own everyday but we are literally right on the cost. Did you ever look it up on the map. I´m right on the little hook of san pedro as far as you can go. our ward goes from the river to the ocean. pretty sweet but I never get to see it because it´s flat and kindof like a cliff so I´d actually have to walk to the end and there aren´t many investigators over there. sadly
The president cut our time to 45 min so i don´t have much time.
so for the details of my week. One of our baptisms fell because he doesn´t want to live the sabath day. He has to work. But he´s so willing to do everything else and continue until he can get baptised. So we are going to teach him about faith and have him close his store this sunday and then we´ll fast and pray a whole bunch. haha. We have another baptism date that someone found during zone attack so that will be good to meet with her.

Thanks for finally getting my coat. haha. Thanks for the pictures too. I love showing people pictures of my family because i love you all so much! now I know why parents do that with their children all of the time. haha. And I get to show everyone the picture of my sister and her husband just sealed for time and all eternity. That picture marks the scripture for sealing and the picture of the family marks the scripture for pray in your families. I´m a little disappointed we don´t have a picture of me and dad at my baptism. how strange.
I love you all!

This week has been really good. We found a lot of new investigators and we have 2 in line for baptism that came to church along with some others! Yay! I´m so excited. They should be baptized on the 8th-Alejandro & Leila. I don´t know if I told you about them.
Thanks for celebrating my birthday! I had a really great day! The Hermanas in my house sang to me in the morning and my companion made me hot chocolate which i haven´t had since i´ve been home and it´s like my favorite thing in the whole world!! right next to the stars and the beach. These three things just make my heart melt. If you have hot chocolate you know everything is going to be just fine and every night I look up at the stars and remember that my Heavenly Father loves me and then goodness the ocean and the sound of roaring waves could bring tears to my eyes. So just wait... After my hot chocolate we went to church. I could understand quite a bit probably my birthday present from the spirit and they anounced my birthday in sacrament haha! and then we had a great meat and potato meal (it´s common we have it a lot but still my favorite) and then of course the best dessert i´ve had since i´ve been here. peaches and cream. and then we did a attack of zone where our entire zone went to one sector that was struggling and just let the fire burn and then they all sang to me and then I came home to a wondeful package with a way cute star necklace so i can always have the stars with me! Thanks! I love it! and the elastic as well! The party supplies was just perfect too! and so today-pday. Guess what we did? Went to the beach! AH! Angels singing. The elders brought a gril and we had hot dogs --a type any way-better-- and played some soccer. and on the way here to the internet cafe my companion and I got a characature. haha! Why not.
If we have time today I might go buy a hair dryer and some gloves!

Love you all so much! Let me know whatj´s going on!
Sunshine in my soul,

I don't know the last two people. But I know there is also an Elder Williams with us and GET THIS!!! I'm pretty sure Kenzie is on my flight!! crazy huh? the one to LAX also another girl I know from USU, also going to Korea, Debryn Saunders. We haven't checked flight numbers but they leave the same time.
Okay so as far as airport goes. You said I can just leave my stuff with the ticket agent people? What if they don't know you? That's a little sketch. What should I do about that? Also I remember you telling me where the pay phones are that aren't used as often. Was it in teminal 1? We should get there pretty early. Also I'll have lots of time in LAX so I could call if I don't have long before.

Thanks for the package this week! I'm totally looking forward to Sunday! Hopefully we'll be all packed and we can have a fiesta!

As far as packages go. I think that pouch mail is the way to go. that's what I heard and supposedly It has something about it in the packet that I left with you. So you can look in there. As far as dear elders go in Chile. I'm not sure if they do that through pouch or print them there so right now just stick with email once I'm there. I can't imagine you having to send me anything so- you should be okay.

I do get to see Gil every so often!! It's great fun! Love it! I don't get to talk to him a whole bunch but it's still something to look forward to every meal time!

Graduation Party sounds sick! Are you going to invite fam and stuff? I got the invite and loved it! You two are just so photogenic.

Oh I don't know if i ever told you 2 weeks ago I did sealings! that was fantastic! I am so glad that our family can be together forever!

I love you all mucho!

Thanks so much to those who have written! I will try my best to get back! You're letters are definetly my favorite!

April 25

WOW!!!!!!
That was a whole bunch of surprises to open the email to! I can't beleive ANY OF IT! My mind is seriously blown!

GIL AND SJ!!! CONGRATULATIONS! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!! SO SO SO SO SO SO HAPPY! JUST IMAGINE MY EXCITEMENT JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND SCREAMING!!!! This is just the greatest thing. I can't wait to hear more including every single detail of everything! wow! When is the date?????????

Wow okay so this week has been a changer for me. Unlike last week I think I could be ready to get out of here. I still love the MTC don't get me wrong but you have to go to earth sometime. I'm still trying to learn as much as I can here but I can't wait to get out to the field and learn more. My focus kind of shifted this week from the lessons and spanish to other gospel and charity. I was able to focus more on my campanion and the people around me instead of feeling like I had so much to learn for myself. But in all honesty I probably learned more this week than ever. We lost one of our investigators as well as one of our teachers, Hermano Molinaro, which really broke a heart string because he was amazing. He will be very much missed. Very very very much, he was supposed to send us off! He really changed my life so it was hard to see him go. Plus he told us in the last 10 min of class that he was leaving in the morning! excuse me!! totally not okay.  but we get a new teacher tonight and he's great as well, Hermano Osler. I am excited to get to know him better. Luckily our other teacher is staying. I told my hermanas that if he leaves too than I don't see why we can't leave either and that I was just going to go to the airport and hop on a plane to chile myself. There's only so many people to baptize here at the MTC-- meaning NONE. Time to fly away. Speaking of breaking free my bird necklace with the cage just completely fell apart. I think it's a sign.

Yesterday we were able to skype with a lady in mexico and teach her a lesson. That was great except my head phones weren't working very well so when she started crying I didn't know if it was something that we said or did wrong or if she was sad that we couldn't understand what she was saying.

There is an Elder here that reminds me of Trent, it's really funny. He told us to go smell this tree that smells like cream soda... ya we didn't beleive him at first... but eventually we had to smell the tree so we did it at night when no one could see us cause you have to get really close to the tree to smell it--- and you wouldn't beleive it. It really does smell like cream soda!!!! WOW!

Also I found I have trained my companion very well during conference for when the BYU men's chorus came to sing and the camera rolled across their faces to a guy with a beard she promptly exclaimed "Diversity!"

I noticed I don't think I've been signing off my letters. I guess cause I wouldn't do that if was just talking or something but in any case, I love you all so much and think about you all the time!

December 30

And so this is Christmas.. And what have we done?

Well I’ll tell you. I've done quite a bit. We are working very diligently everyday sometimes without success but we don't let it get us down! All you need is a quick boost ya up with the family to keep you going.

Gosh. I don't feel like I got to tell you anything that I had planned... really anything. How does that even happen? You just forget everything so fast! But I learned a lot about myself from talking with you all so it was good. Probably should have been the opposite but hey I’m far from perfect.

I all of a sudden can't live without music again Tate! Thanks for that! And it looks like I finally got the details from the trip you went on. That will be fun to read.

Sounds like your Christmas was awesome! I'm glad to hear it. I must say I loved my Christmas over her basking in the sunlight, playing volleyball, eating lamb, listing to the guitar by the fire... a lot of things that just don't sound very missionary like so I don't know why I’m telling you. But I enjoyed it.
For New Year’s eve we are going to have our p-day (today we are just writing and then we will go out and work!) and tomorrow we have permission to have one (cena) with someone just like on Christmas eve and we get to stay out until 10:30.

This week we are focusing on finding new people to teach and prepare for baptism in Enero! So next week I’ll be telling a bunch of great new people with dates to be baptized!

Thanks for all you do and who you are! Love you!

April 17

AN APOSTLE OF THE LORD! sing it with that tune from veggie tales. Yup that's right. an apostle of the lord came to speak to me. I feel just so honored. And we were lucky enough to be in the same room. Richard G Scott inspired us with great words to keep up the good work and then gave us a blessing to be able to MASTER the language! Ah just beautful! and also a blessing to be able to learn from our companions as well as a blessing of PEACE. Wow just who doesn't need those blessings as a missionary. AND THEN when he was all done, we sang the closing song and then a sister was walking up to give the closing prayer and he stood up and stopped her because he needed to tell us something else. um. wow. He continued to tell us that the Lord has sent us here to succeed not to fail and that He will not abondon us. The mission will help us realize a capacity and strength we never knew we had and that we will never be asked to do something we can't do. Um. talk about a pump up talk!

On Sunday we had a great just fantastic devotional from the director of media missionary department. Um. OKay.. you should really just go to London right now. so seriously. Wow. The church just launched a new campain there because the mormon musical is going there. um. wow. seriously check it out. Also we got some great stats about how much missionary work they are able to do through the internet and how they are reaching the people that missionaries can't. Also, a non rumor stat: 44% of current missionaries are sisters raising moment by moment.

Okay so ya. Half way today!!!! WOW! HALF WAY! It's actually a little overwhelming. And I really love it here. Some hate it but I seriously enjoy every single day. There is still so much to learn including the language. Ah! but esta bien. From this date forward we are only talking in spanish. We made that goal the first week that at three weeks we would only talk in spanish. It will be good however, I don't think we're talking correctly and I really want to get the grammar right cause gosh when people do that in english it just drives me crazy. Plus I want to sound education obviously. So grammer is a work in progress.

I get letters usally a day after you right it sometimes two. We don't open anything until 9:30 when the day ends as to avoid distraction. I think dear elder is just as fast as letters I was mainly saying don't email so that I don't have to spend time reading them.

We sure get fed a lot here. like a lot. and it's actually like really good. The cafeteria is just full of choices and yummy options. I haven't had anything I don't like yet. and I have fresh pineapple everyday and I used to get chocolate milk every single day for dessert as well but now I just stick to my favorite drink ever- water! But OKAY. so wierd but that have the best chocolate chip cookies EVER EVER EVER so good. okay Cinda's might be a few steps up but they are so good! MY FAVORITE! If lunch is close to gym time we get a sack lunch so we don't need to change keep it homey with a turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, chips, water and if I'm lucky a cookie. Sound familiar? Ya. except now I have a new found love of soy milk so that's sometimes thrown into the mix as well. But even if the cafeteria were to be bombed, we all have enough food to last us a few years in our rooms so there would never be any starving. It's next to impossible.

We get to got to the temple every wednesday on our p day and i see emily quite a bit only enough time for a hug and how are you and we have to go but it's still fun to see her. Yesterday I was able to talk to Kenzie for a while so that was great.

Oh ya. I spoke in church on sunday. They just suprise you that day and you need to speak in spanish.so... That was interesting.
